Akuatro is an electrical power generator that uses the kinetic energy of water currents, both marine and river. It has four independent electricity generators that can be coupled in series, parallel or mixed configuration, thus allowing adaptation to fluctuations in the speed of the water current. Each of these electricity generators is moved by four 180º pivoting blades that produce the rotation, independently of the direction and sense of the water current. The directions of rotation of the electricity generators alternate to allow the full area of the water current to be used. A rudder
orients Akuatro to the position where the electrical energy production is maximum. All electrical equipment and its connections are made on the surface, within the
floating and watertight structure.

Akuatro is an alternative for strengthening electrical grids with a renewable, constant, and low-environmental-impact source.
